Job Description

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Review signalling design work within a railway environment.
  • Managing signalling preliminary, intermediate and detailed design reviews for signalling discipline to ensure compliance with the project specifications.
  • Maintain and update the Requirements, develop and the plans and procedures for signalling discipline.
  • Serve as technical expert to take signalling related decisions, review design proposals for technical solutions, make recommendations, resolve technical clashes, etc.
  • Review signalling design deliverable packages including drawings and other items.
  • Prepare signalling specifications for both preliminary and detailed designs.
  • Prepare procurement specifications to support new and modified designs.
  • Maintain a good understand of Egis business standards of safety, quality and design.

Qualifications

 

  • University degree at minimum Bachelors level of a recognized Electrical/Electronic Engineering Faculty, or Chartered Engineer status.
  • General overall experience of at least 5 - 10 years in railway signalling.
  • Experience in signalling for main line / commuter rail projects. ETCS and brownfield experience are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in technical design for a rail environment with appropriate experience in a project driven organization, infrastructure environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and capacity to develop good relations at work and fluent in English
  • Experience working in a technical environment as part of a team is required.
  • Determined to act in a responsible way in business activities as well as in social and environmental impact.
