Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered Secondary Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025–26 school year. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a rigorous and inclusive learning environment, empowering students to master core competencies while preparing them for college, career, and community leadership.

Instructional Excellence

  • Create engaging, standards-aligned lessons that challenge students to think critically and solve complex problems within your subject area. 
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
  • Utilize modern Ed technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and prepare students for a tech-driven world.
  • Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback and adjustments.​

Classroom Culture & Management

  • Establish and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and respects all students.
  • Use proactive classroom management techniques to maximize instructional time and promote positive student behavior.

Professionalism & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with peers to develop interdisciplinary connections and share high-leverage teaching strategies.
  • Participate in ADE-required professional development and stay current with pedagogical research and state standards.
  • Maintain transparent and consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievement and holistic well-being.

Institutional Support

  • Mentor students through academic and personal growth milestones, including recommendations for post-secondary opportunities.
  • Support school-wide initiatives such as student recruitment, community events, and the development of school culture.
  • Additional tasks as requested to support student achievement, school culture, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Valid Arkansas Standard Teaching License in the relevant subject area for grades 7-12. Eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or an Alternative Licensure Program (ALP) is acceptable.
  • Prior teaching experience at the secondary level is preferred.
  • Must pass all state and federal background checks, including fingerprinting and child maltreatment registry checks.
  • Strong content mastery and a passion for the subject matter.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with adolescents.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a significant plus.

Additional Information

Teacher salaries will be based on experience, degree level, and licensure per the SY 2025-26 Salary Schedule range.
