Job Description

The main purpose of the Operator role is to safely operate and maintain defined Utilities equipment and related process in order to achieve optimal effectiveness

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Boiler start up and shut down
  • Coal banking
  • Optimize production processes
  • Perform quality checks
  • Record of coal deliveries
  • Operate utilities plant and equipment
  • Record and calculate water and coal usages
  • Report failures

Qualifications

  • National Diploma or N6 in Mechanical Engineering
  • Numeracy and Engineering skills are a pre-requisite
  • 5 yrs Boiler experience
  • Good knowledge John Thompson Boilers
  • Basic knowledge of production processes
  • Self starter
  • Logical thinker
