Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for Petty Cash Clerk to join our team in Zambia. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Accountant across the full range of day to day accounting responsibilities, as required in order to maintain the finances of the company.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Required Competencies
- Ability to Perform weekly cash counts and reconcile amounts, cash on hand back to spreadsheet
- Good attention to detail-ensuring that all approved petty cash claims are paid out accurately and timely follow ups are made on all outstanding advances.
- Numerical aptitude-ability to handle numbers and perform financial arithmetic operations effectively.
- Complying with all petty cash handling procedures
- Cash handling-ability to accurately record/receive cash and issue receipts accordingly.
- Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping.
- Must be computer literate MS Office (Word/Excel) at the intermediate level.
- Ability to work with strict deadlines
- Highest level of integrity, Accountability and Honesty.
- Preparation of creditor payments
Required Work Experience
- At least 2 years working experience in a related role.
- Experience with accounting package or software.
- Experience in cash handling-receiving cash and issuing receipts accurately and efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Finance or Accounting, ZICA Level II, ACCA Level II, CIMA Level II
- Registered Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
