Â
“Post-graduation it was incredibly difficult finding a role that would provide meaningful work experience. My placement at EDF provided varied work with video production, editing on top of creating graphics for social media. The role has been essential in refining my abilities, pushing me to stretch my limits, and fostering a newfound assurance in my creative skills.” Liam Bewell, Creative Content Industrial PlacementÂ
Â
What does this Creative Content opportunity offer you?Â
Â
We’re looking for a student with a passion for motion design, animation, and digital storytelling to join our in-house Digital & Content team on a one-year placement.Â
Â
You will play an active role in creating dynamic, visually engaging content, with a strong emphasis on animation, motion graphics, and video-led assets across multiple channels including web, social media, the company intranet and internal publications. We’re evolving our content approach to be increasingly motion-led, and this placement will play a key role in shaping how animation and video bring our stories to life.Â
Â
This is an opportunity to develop your motion, video production and design skills, help to simplify complex topics and create compelling visual narratives that support EDF’s mission to help Britain achieve Net Zero.Â
 Â
Pay, benefits and culture:Â
Â
Alongside a starting salary of ÂŁ26,000Â and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal.Â
Â
We embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated. Â
At EDF we work hard to maintain a culture where Everyone’s Welcome. We encourage and embrace diversity and how it can improve our experience and performance at work. It is nevertheless a requirement that those who join us have the right to work in the UK. Whilst sponsorship may be a possibility, we reserve the right in our decisions to give priority to those who already have the right to work in the UK.      Â
We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments. Â
 Â
Training, development, and support for you:Â
Â
Over the 12-month programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the full creative production lifecycle, with a particular focus on motion-first content creation.Â
Â
You will:Â

- Support the production of social-first animations and video edits designed to drive engagementÂ
- Work with designers and producers to translate static assets into motion-based outputsÂ
- Assist in the development of storyboards, visual concepts, and animation stylesÂ
- Contribute to video shoots and post-production editing, including sound, grading, and motion overlaysÂ
- Learn how motion and animation play a key role in corporate storytelling and brand communicationÂ
During your time on placement, you will also:Â
- Experience working in a fast-paced in-house creative team across video, motion design, graphic design, and digital contentÂ
- Gain an understanding of how motion-led content enhances communication effectiveness across channelsÂ
- Develop stakeholder management skills by working with various business units and senior leadersÂ
Recent students have contributed to projects including campaign animations, executive video content, and digital storytelling for major initiatives such as COP events and Net Zero communications.Â
Â
Your work location:Â
