Trainee Mould Shop Technician

Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can learn valuable technical skills and build a long-term career? Join Ashtead Technology as a Trainee Mould Shop Technician where you will work with specialist subsea equipment, cable assemblies, and connector systems.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing, assembling, testing, and labelling cable assemblies, subsea tails, and connectors.
• Learning how to operate specialist cable moulding machinery through structured onsite training.
• Maintaining cable and connector stock levels and ensuring materials are stored safely and correctly.
• Assisting with cable testing activities and the production of test reports.
• Helping keep the mould shop organised, clean, and operating efficiently.
• Following health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures at all times.
• Completing competency-based training to develop your technical knowledge and skills.
• Working as part of a supportive team to deliver high-quality products to customers
  

What experience you'll bring:

• Experience in soldering and cable assembly
• Some previous experience in an equivalent industry
• Fault finding and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills
• Additional experience experience in cable testing and cable moulding is desirable
