Job Summary

This Room Technician is accountable for the leadership of all maintenance services at the Resort. This goal is achieved through an efficient team of highly skilled and flexible maintenance colleagues.


Duties & Responsibilities are not limited to but includes:


  • To carry our detailed checks on guest rooms, public areas using Standard Operation Procedures of the established Preventative Maintenance/Ken-Fix-it Programme.

  • Troubleshoot and report to Team Leaders any anomalies for appropriate action to be taken.
  •  Assist with the maintenance upkeep of the resort facilities as per established standards.

 

The successful candidate should have:


  • Obtained NCVET certification from a recognized Institution in General Construction or related field.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry.

  • Proven track record in successfully trouble-shooting engineering –related problems.

  • Working knowledge in all fields of repairs and maintenance (carpentry, inverter type air conditioning units, stoves, chillers and laundry equipment).

  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work flexible hours.

  • The ability to work well under pressure in a customer-service oriented and fast paced environment.
