Job Summary:

The Restaurant Server is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing attentive service, taking accurate orders, and ensuring guest satisfaction. They play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere in the hotel’s restaurant by maintaining professionalism, efficiency, and a strong knowledge of the menu. The Restaurant Server reports to the Restaurant Team Leader and is accountable to him.

Key Responsibilities:

  Guest Service & Order Taking:

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
• Present menus, explain daily specials and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
• Ensure timely and efficient service while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.

  Food & Beverage Service:

• Serve food and beverages according to hotel standards, ensuring proper presentation.
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any requests or concerns.
• Refill drinks, clear empty plates, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Assist with special dietary requests and communicate modifications to the kitchen.

  Table Maintenance & Cleanliness:

• Set up tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware before each shift.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently between guests.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area in compliance with health and safety regulations.

  Teamwork & Support:

• Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers to ensure seamless service.
• Assist in stocking service stations, preparing silverware, and maintaining supplies.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings to stay informed about specials, events, and any service updates.

  Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous experience as a server in a hotel, fine dining, or casual dining restaurant is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
• Comfortable working in a busy and sometimes noisy environment.
