Job Description: The
Driver CDL Class-A is responsible for: Safely transporting all Brewco Marketing Group and program/tour assets to various locations within the United States and Canada, assisting with the set up and tear down of each event activation, serving as a program brand ambassador during event activations, providing general assistance during event activations, and coordinating safe and successful event activations.


Responsibilities:

  • Agrees to always represent Brewco Marketing Group, in a manner consistent with each company’s morals, values, and ethics.
  • Maintains a healthy and respectful attitude in dealing with client and program contacts within and outside Brewco Marketing Group.
  • Ensure the safety of the driver, passenger(s), truck, trailer, and any other assets.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Transport truck or tractor and trailer (up to 53’) to locations within the United States and Canada.
  • Check vehicle(s) to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working condition.
  • Convey needed maintenance to supervisor and report accordingly.
  • Inspect load(s) to ensure cargo is secure for transport utilizing items such as straps, ropes, blocks, chains, binders, covers, and other miscellaneous tie-down equipment as needed.
  • Maintain open communication lines among BMG supervisor(s) and tour staff.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines for program/tour assets and staff.
  • Research event location(s), plan for parking and area of event activation, and ensure safe ingress and egress for site location.
  • Actively participate in scheduled events, as required.
  • Assist in the safe and efficient set-up of the event activation, provide leadership on activation days, and assist in tear-down of all elements (including electrical and audio) associated with the interior and exterior of the display trailers.
  • Direct communication with BMG supervisor on program status (to include, but not be limited to, program problems, maintenance issues, program success stories, etc.)
  • Able to lead all functions of the program’s tour, as necessary.
  • Onsite and active for all events.
  • Assists touring staff, volunteers, and all representatives for all setup, event activation, and teardown duties.
  • Ensure generator and HVAC units are in proper working order. Troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Maintain and respect the protocol of communication.
  • Work to ensure DOT compliance, insurance protocol and travel oversight.
  • Monitors scheduling conflicts for events, equipment, and technology.
  • Ensures all elements of the program are maintained and in proper working order.
  • Assists inventory and equipment updates.
  • Work with each event site contact to coordinate arrival, on-site, and exit logistics.
  • Assists with building new equipment in inventory and troubleshooting any issues.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and safety guidelines for tour assets and staff are upheld.
  • Evaluate program and provide feedback as needed.
  • Provide direct communication with BMG supervisor on program status (to include, but not be limited to, program problems, delays, inclement weather, breakdowns, maintenance issues, schedule conflicts, staff issues, program success stories, etc.)
  • Maintain records essential for control, evaluation, and reporting to appropriate supervisors.
  • Recommend to BMG supervisor new program ideas to better serve and achieve program’s objectives.
  • All other duties assigned.


Basic Tasks:

  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip paperwork.
  • Record mileage logs.
  • Attach and detach trailer.
  • Load and unload necessary equipment.
  • Make necessary repairs and maintenance when needed.
  • Fueling the truck or tractor and generator(s).
  • Work as a team and be willing to follow directions from others and apply them to assigned tasks.
  • Assist visitors through event activation and ensure guests have safe and positive experience.
  • Keep event activation area neat while working and return items to correct storage locations.
  • Transport, assemble, and disassemble materials used in presentations.
  • Communicate policy, procedures, and information to tour staff.
  • Confirm proper insurance protocol and provide travel oversight (including cross border activities).
  • Work with BMG Supervisor to ensure program budget compliance as needed.
  • Be engaging, friendly, and professional.
  • Work well with Brewco Marketing Group employees and program and/or tour clients.
  • Must be able to lift objects of at least fifty (50) pounds.
  • Must be able to work at elevated levels of 5 feet or higher using ladders or catwalks.
  • Ability to perform all other basic tasks as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A required.
  • 5+ years’ experience with driving larger assets (Semi tractor and 53’ trailer) preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience with experiential marketing and/or mobile tours preferred.
  • Additional skills and experience in marketing, client interaction, or technical skills as well as military veterans with service in logistics and transportation support would be an added plus for consideration.
  • Ability to travel up to eighty (80%) percent of time as needed.
  • Must be able to lift objects of at least fifty (50) pounds.
