POSITION: Human Resources Intern
GROUP: Corporate
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director - People & Digital Strategy
REVIEWING SUPERVISOR: President & Chief Executive Officer
POSITION PURPOSE: The HR Intern will assist with administrative and HR related tasks in order to build skills to assist in course completion for degree in related field.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Updating employee records in Bamboo
2. Assist with screening potential candidate resumes to fill open job vacancies
3. Assist organizing candidates interviews and setting up post offer testing
4. Assist with coordinating new hire orientations
5. Attend hiring events and assist with applicant coordination
6. Review all HR related manuals and provide recommendations to improve HR policies
7. Participate in HR related meeting and provide feedback on policy recommendations
8. Perform other duties as assigned
PREREQUISITES:
Human Resources Major is preferred but not required
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of US Labor Laws
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Is team-oriented and works collaboratively to achieve team goals
Highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision
