Freelance - Regional Marketing Manager Germany (w/m/d)

This is a freelance position (contractor) with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.

Your Mission

As the Regional Marketing Manager for Germany, you will be the driving force behind Le Wagon's growth across the German market. Based in Berlin, you'll own the development and execution of localized marketing strategies that resonate with German learners and tap into the unique characteristics of the German education and training ecosystem.

Strategic Local Acquisition Development (30%)

Identify and activate Germany-specific acquisition channels, with a focus on:

• Kursnet: Optimize our training visibility for job seekers through Germany's leading course database
• Public funding programs: Develop strategies to leverage QCG (Qualifizierungschancengesetz) and BGS (Bildungsgutschein) to make our programs accessible to funded learners
• Pioneer strategic partnerships within Germany's tech ecosystem (startup hubs, accelerators, corporate training buyers)
• Continuously research and test emerging channels specific to the German market

Event Strategy & Execution (30%)

• Plan and execute a robust calendar of both in-person (Berlin) and online events
• Create compelling ToFu events with local tech companies and thought leaders
• Coordinate with Country Manager following the 6-week planning model to ensure maximum promotional impact
• Leverage Germany's strong Meetup and tech community culture to build Le Wagon's presence
  
  

Community & Partnership Building (20%)

• Cultivate strategic relationships with Germany's tech ecosystem: startup hubs, accelerators, tech communities, and corporate training buyers
• Engage proactively with local and regional partners, collaborating with our Head of Comms for global partnerships
  
  

Content & Campaign Localization (15%)

• Adapt global marketing content for the German market with cultural and linguistic precision
• Create locally relevant blog and Social Media content, and collaborate on email nurture sequences in German with our central CRM team
• Ensure all content speaks to German learners' motivations, concerns, and expectations
  
  

Performance & Collaboration (5%)

• Track regional KPIs across all funnel stages
• Provide regular reporting and insights to optimize regional performance
• Share best practices with other Regional Marketing Managers across Europe
  
  

This is the role for you if:

Essential:

• You are an independent freelancer or consultant
  
• Have proven experience in marketing, growth, or partnerships
• Know the German market, especially in EdTech, education, or training
• Understand public funding systems (Bildungsgutschein, QCG, etc.)
• Work in a structured, autonomous, and results-driven way
• Are comfortable managing your own time and priorities
• You speak fluent German and English
