As trusted delivery partners, we will continue providing proactive and reactive clean water solutions across their network, supporting them through the AMP8 regulatory period – the most significant investment phase the water industry has ever seen.


We are currently recruiting for a Repair and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across the Midlands area. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-performing team, working on critical infrastructure projects that make a real difference to communities.

This role is suited to someone with proven clean water industry experience who is ready to take the next step into a supervisory or leadership position.



About the Role

The Repair and Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing remote operational teams across a geographical area, driving performance through effective leadership and technical expertise.

A strong background in clean water operations is essential, ensuring you can confidently guide teams, uphold standards, and deliver high-quality outcomes.


You will:

  • Drive operational performance through leadership and coaching
  • Ensure teams are productive, skilled, and safety-focused
  • Promote health, safety, and wellbeing at all times
  • Deliver excellent customer service, aiming for same-day resolutions
  • Support continuous improvement across operations

Location: Shrewsbury / Shropshire

Hours: 47.5 - Monday - Friday 07:00 - 17:00 - Saturday and Sunday once every 7 weeks

Daily Activities

  • Issue daily work packages
  • Monitor site safety and compliance
  • Review and approve risk assessments and method statements
  • Carry out CAT downloads
  • Conduct safety, compliance, and quality audits
  • Deliver toolbox talks
  • Manage materials, plant, and reinstatement resources
  • Work with scheduling teams to deliver programmes effectively

Operational Management

  • Oversee defect programmes and KPI performance
  • Attend Highway meetings
  • Liaise with Support Services and Streetworks teams to manage FPN and Section 74 liabilities
  • Conduct team inspections with a strong focus on quality and first-time reinstatement

Health, Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure full HSEQ compliance across all activities
  • Lead risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture

Customer Experience & Engagement

  • Minimise disruption to customers and communities
  • Support effective communication with customer liaison teams
  • Ensure teams are aware of and responsive to customer needs



Requirements

  • Proven experience within the clean water industry is essential
  • Strong technical knowledge of clean water networks, operations, and standards
  • Experience working in operational or field-based environments
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and performance improvement
  • Demonstrable leadership potential or previous supervisory experience (highly preferable)
