Job Title: Inventory & Warehouse Management Supervisor

Reports to: General Manager, Supply Chain & Business Services 

Location: Ughelli & Warri, Nigeria

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Inventory and Warehouse Management Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the inventory and warehouse operations to ensure efficient and effective receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. This role will involve developing and implementing inventory management strategies, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

    - Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve service levels.

    - Analyze inventory data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.

    - Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and business teams to ensure alignment with company objectives.

2. Warehouse Operations:

    - Manage warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, and shipment of goods.

    - Ensure warehouse is organized, clean, and safe for employees and visitors.

    - Develop and implement warehouse processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.

3. Inventory Control:

    - Develop and implement inventory control processes to ensure accurate inventory records, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.

    - Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

    - Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and issues.

4. Warehouse Layout and Design:

    - Design and optimize warehouse layout to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety.

    - Ensure warehouse layout is aligned with company objectives and strategies.

5. Supply Chain Optimization:

    - Collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to optimize supply chain operations, reduce costs, and improve service levels.

    - Analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for improvement.

6. Compliance, Integrity, and Governance:

    - Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

    - Develop and maintain inventory and warehouse management policies, procedures, and guidelines.

7. Performance Metrics and Reporting:

    - Develop and track performance metrics to measure inventory and warehouse management performance.

    - Provide regular reports to management on inventory and warehouse management performance.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or its equivalent educational qualifications.
2. Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse management, or supply chain management.
   
3. Proven experience in managing inventory and warehouse operations.
   
4. Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, and regulations.
   
5. Proven involvement and collaboration in the development of integrated activity planning processes and not limited to resource allocation, constraints management, and enterprise risk management 
   
6. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
   
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
   
8. Proven people leadership and 
   
9. Proficient in inventory management software, such as SAP Business 1 ERP systems, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
   

Nice to Have:

1. Professional certification: in inventory management, warehouse management, or supply chain management, such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD).

2. Experience in oil and gas industry or related sector.

3. Strong knowledge of lean principles and six sigma methodologies.

4. Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
