Role Description
We are looking for a highly hands-on, commercially minded, and operationally strong leader to build and scale Farm to Feed’s value addition division. This role is responsible for developing innovative and scalable value-added products for both domestic B2B markets and export markets, while building the operational capability, systems, and commercial relationships needed to grow the business sustainably.
The role combines product development, operations, business development, food systems thinking, and leadership. It is a strategic growth pillar within Farm to Feed and directly contributes to reducing food loss while creating higher-value market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Domestic Value Addition
- Develop convenient, high-quality products for domestic B2B customers including kitchens, restaurants, hotels, institutions, and retailersÂ
- Improve customer convenience, consistency, shelf life, and usability through value-added processingÂ
- Upgrade and optimize Farm to Feed’s domestic value-add kitchen and processing capabilitiesÂ
- Build SOPs, production workflows, quality standards, and operational systemsÂ
- Understand and oversee machinery selection, setup, maintenance, and operational efficiencyÂ
- Lead and train production teams to ensure strong execution and food safety standardsÂ
Export Product Development & Commercialization
- Develop export-oriented products aligned with global market demand and ingredient trendsÂ
- Understand international buyer requirements, product specifications, packaging requirements, and quality expectationsÂ
- Build production capability to support scalable export operationsÂ
- Further develop and refine the go-to-market strategy (GTM) for value-added export productsÂ
- Support in identifying potential customers, market opportunities, and strategic partnershipsÂ
- Help build commercial relationships with international buyers and distributorsÂ
- Work closely with sourcing and commercial teams to align supply with export demand and margin opportunitiesÂ
Food Safety & Compliance
- Understand and implement relevant food safety systems, certifications, and compliance standards required for domestic and export marketsÂ
- Drive continuous improvement in traceability, hygiene, quality assurance, and operational complianceÂ
- Ensure operational readiness for audits, certifications, and customer requirementsÂ
Leadership & Operations
- Lead and grow the value addition teamÂ
- Create a culture of ownership, execution, innovation, and continuous improvementÂ
- Operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environmentÂ
- Work cross-functionally with sourcing, commercial, logistics, finance, and operations teamsÂ
- Balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational executionÂ
Role Requirements
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, agri-processing, food production, or value-added agricultureÂ
- Strong understanding of food operations, processing systems, machinery, and production workflowsÂ
- Experience in product development and scaling operationsÂ
- Commercially minded with strong business development instinctsÂ
- Familiarity with food safety systems and export compliance standardsÂ
- Comfortable building systems and processes from scratchÂ
- Strong leadership and team management capabilitiesÂ
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and highly execution-oriented
