Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON  

We are looking for a Senior Unreal Engine Cinematic Artist to bring stories to life with visually striking real-time cinematics. You will be responsible for crafting high-quality cinematics and gameplay sequences in UE5, collaborating closely with directors, designers, animators and technical teams to deliver emotionally engaging experiences.

What it means on a daily basis

  • Create high-quality real-time cinematics using Unreal Engine 5
  • Translate storyboards and scripts into compelling visual sequences
  • Use Sequencer to build, edit and polish cinematic scenes
  • Collaborate with animation, lighting, VFX, environment and technical teams
  • Set up cameras, composition, timing and pacing to support storytelling
  • Apply cinematic polish, including depth of field, motion blur and post-processing
  • Optimise scenes for performance while preserving visual fidelity
  • Troubleshoot and resolve creative and technical challenges

Who you will be working with  
You’ll join a collaborative team of 30 artists across multiple disciplines at our Brisbane Studio, contributing to an unannounced project.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED  

  • Proven experience as a cinematic artist in games, film or real‑time production
  • Extensive knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, including Sequencer, cameras and rendering pipelines
  • Thorough understanding of cinematography principles – composition, framing, lighting and timing
  • Experience with animation pipelines and assets
  • A keen storytelling instinct and a good sense of visual pacing
