Main Responsibilities 

  • Assemble, test, or maintain circuitry and electro-mechanical systems, including test fixtures and cabinets, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or electronics knowledge, using hand or power tools.
  • Build and troubleshoot test fixtures and instrumentation, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to test specifications.
  • Assemble electrical cabinets with a focus on clean wiring, proper cable management, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Replace defective components or parts using hand tools, precision instruments, and soldering stations, ensuring high-quality repairs.
  • Modify, maintain, or repair electronic equipment or systems to ensure proper functionality and reliability.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronic units, test fixtures, and electromechanical systems.
  • Set up and operate specialized or standard test equipment to diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of electronic components, assemblies, or systems.
  • Troubleshoot wiring and electrical issues in test fixtures, cabinets, and control systems, ensuring optimal operation and compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts.
  • First responder for problems identified by Contract Manufacturers regarding malfunction of test setup (eg. equipment, wiring, etc.)
  • Procure parts and maintain inventory and related documentation for test fixtures, cabinets, and electronic systems.
  • Document and report possible modifications to blueprints, urgent maintenance tasks and internal and external exchanges that affect a test setup.


Key Requirements 

  • College Diploma or higher in Electrical or related field Experience, background.
  • Experience in both laboratory and manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using electrical and mechanical equipment and tools.
  • Experience with wiring equipment to the North American grid.
  • Experience with task management software like Jira Knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
