  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection status (international students are not eligible)
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada


About CAMP

The Community Access Midwifery Project (CAMP) works to improve access to midwifery care for underserved and equity-deserving families through community-based programming, outreach, and system coordination. CAMP supports culturally responsive, inclusive, and accessible reproductive and maternal health services.





Position Summary

The CAMP Administrative Projects Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and administration of the Community Access Midwifery Project during the summer term. The role focuses on organizing administrative projects, supporting data collection and documentation, assisting with outreach and communication, and strengthening internal systems that support equitable access to midwifery services.


This position provides meaningful, supervised work experience in project coordination, nonprofit administration, community health programming, and equity-focused service delivery, in alignment with Canada Summer Jobs objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Project Coordination

  • Support administrative projects related to CAMP planning, delivery, and evaluation
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical project files, records, and resources
  • Assist with scheduling, logistics, and coordination of meetings, workshops, or outreach activities
  • Help develop and update templates, tracking tools, and administrative systems

Data, Documentation & Reporting

  • Assist with collecting, organizing, and entering project data (e.g., outreach contacts, referrals, participation)
  • Support preparation of summaries, reports, and basic data analysis
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with privacy and health information guidelines

Communication & Outreach Support

  • Support communication with community partners, families, and service providers as directed
  • Assist in creating plain-language materials such as flyers, newsletters, schedules, and information packages
  • Support social media or digital outreach content preparation (where applicable)

Program & Team Support

  • Provide administrative support to the CAMP team and supervisors
  • Assist with organizing onboarding materials, training resources, and internal documentation
  • Support CAMP’s commitment to equity, inclusion, cultural safety, and accessibility through administrative coordination


Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a community-focused environment

Assets (Not Required)

  • Interest in community health, midwifery, maternal health, or social services
  • Experience with administrative tasks, school projects, or volunteer coordination
  • Familiarity with data entry, spreadsheets, or document creation
  • Lived experience or interest in equity, access, or community-based health initiatives
