Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards while driving continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Improvement

  • New Product Development: Enhance the reliability and quality of new product development processes.
  • Ongoing Review: Continuously review products, processes, and systems to identify areas for improvement.

2. Quality Standards and Compliance

  • Maintain Standards: Ensure that company quality standards are consistently upheld.
  • Specifications: Devise, review, and set specifications for products or processes, including raw materials or intermediate products.
  • Supplier Compliance: Set requirements for suppliers and monitor their adherence to these standards.

3. Manufacturing Oversight

  • Process Monitoring: Oversee the product manufacturing process to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Production Meetings: Actively participate in production meetings to stay informed about manufacturing conditions and challenges.
  • Final Inspection: Inspect final outputs and compare them to requirements, approving products or rejecting defects.

4. Team Management and Training

  • Supervision: Supervise inspectors, technicians, and other staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality work.
  • Training: Ensure employees receive adequate quality assurance training across all aspects of the production process.

5. Health and Safety

  • Guidelines Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and legal obligations throughout the production process.

6. Quality Assurance and Reporting

  • Inspection and Testing: Examine goods or services to verify they meet quality standards, including raw materials used in production.
  • Statistical Reports: Produce statistical reports on quality standards and issues.
  • Management Reporting: Report on quality issues, product recalls, and other relevant matters to upper management.

7. Customer Engagement and Feedback

  • Customer Needs: Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
  • Product Feedback: Engage with customers and gather feedback to improve quality and address any concerns.

8. Efficiency and Waste Management

  • Production Efficiency: Work on improving production efficiency and managing waste effectively.

9. Product Approval

  • Approval Process: Approve products that meet quality standards and reject those that fail to meet specifications.

10. Process Changes

  • Recommendations: Recommend and implement changes to production processes and quality control procedures as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards, ISO certifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
