Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Translator to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Translator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication across languages, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate translations for our organization.
- Translate written documents, including reports, correspondence, and marketing materials, from one language to another
- Proofread and edit translated content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural appropriateness
- Maintain translation databases and glossaries to ensure consistency across projects
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand technical terminology and context
- Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines
- Stay updated on language trends, cultural nuances, and industry-specific terminology
- Assist in developing and maintaining style guides for different languages
- Provide interpretation services for meetings and conferences when required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
- Fluency in Arabic and English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
- Proven experience as a professional translator, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Excellent writing and communication skills in both source and target languages
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality translations consistently
- Proficiency in using translation software and computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong research skills and ability to quickly grasp new concepts and terminology
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness, particularly regarding Arabic culture
- Knowledge of industry-specific terminology (e.g., legal, medical, technical) is advantageous
- Certification from a recognized translation association is preferred
