Management and education
 

  • Filip, the Operations Technology manager to whom you report, has a strong knowledge and background in manufacturing. Like all managers here, his door is open, and his communication is open and direct. He expects you to think and work strategically to improve/renew the current systems and bring them to the next level.
  • You'll sit with Filip and colleagues’ other IT specialties. Besides enjoying chocolate, they are always open to a good joke.
  • Your training will be determined based on your knowledge and experience. Of course, we provide the necessary onboarding and introduction to various team members.

Job Description

What challenge is in front of you?

Your role will be to help to digitally transform the company and excel in increasing the efficiency of the plant by automation.

We expect you to find ways and methods to simplify and automate complex manufacturing processes using existing and cutting-edge technologies. To do this you will need to understand the business at every level, from the production line to management reporting. You will understand the user and customer needs, create functional analyses of a wide variety of manufacturing processes, and find ways to increase efficiency and help the company scale up.

Your input will be given to the specific OT integration partners to develop and deploy the proposed solution, but you will have primary responsibility for ensuring solutions are designed according to specifications and manage the portfolio of applications across the business.
 

  • Responsible for the managing the domain of Manufacturing Applications, with a strong focus on the complete integration of all these tools
  • Translate user and efficiency driven business cases into functional requirements for the Manufacturing Execution System and exchanging data with the SAP system.
  • Advocate best practice process redesign internally and with relevant business partners.
  • Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, forms and other technical enhancements.

Qualifications

Who are you?

  • You want to kick-start your career and have a Masters’ degree in ICT engineering, functional programming or a related discipline, or you have some years of equivalent work experience, and preferably in an operational environment
  • You have a good understanding of MS SQL, visual studio (VB / C# / WPF) and power BI, and have a basic knowledge of computer networks, network layers, and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.)
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, OPC and Kepserver are a big nice to have.
  • You are practical and hands-on, being able to monitor status progress on individual actions, and report status to management
  • You are fluent in English, a good proficiency in Dutch is a big nice to have
  • We only accept candidates that are eligible to live and work in Belgium, with a valid Visa/work permit.
