Job Description

We are seeking a strategic Analyst to join our Forecasting and Data Analytics team and be a driving force in improving our execution of replenishment through data driven decisions. This role is a permanent full-time position, based in Minchinbury.

What does the role look like?

  • Develop data driven solutions to complex challenges and enhancing forecasting accuracy.
  • Build, test, and deploy machine learning models using Python, SQL and R to solve problems in forecasting, operations, and automation.
  • Extract and analyse large data sets to identify key insights that drive business decisions across ALDI's supply chain.
  • Visualise data by creating and maintaining meaningful reports and dashboards using Power Bi.
  • Consolidate multiple data sources and analysing patterns, trends, anomalies, and root causes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the entire supply chain and providing actionable insights.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in building machine learning models for statistics and optimisation methods to support operational decision-making.
  • Demonstrated data analysis experience with statistical analysis techniques using relevant software (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
  • Ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform and drive strategic decision-making within a dynamic business environment.
  • Experience in forecasting/demand planning within an FMCG environment highly regarded.
  • Experience in SAP forecasting modules and data visualisation tools is an advantage.
  • Experience in the data science lifecycle, including development and deployment highly regarded.
  • Degree in Data Science and/or Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering.

Remuneration

  • Transparent tiered salary range of $143,400 - $163,500 including Superannuation.
