Are you a veterinary student looking for a hands-on externship experience just outside one of the greatest cities in the world? Join us at LePar Animal Hospital in Evergreen Park, IL — just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago!

 

This opportunity is open to students currently enrolled in a DVM program.
(Undergraduates interested in veterinary medicine are welcome to inquire about shadow days.)

About Us

LePar Animal Hospital is a well-established, 9-doctor small animal practice combining high-quality conventional medicine with holistic options like acupuncture, chiropractic, and regenerative therapies. We offer:

  • Digital radiography & dental radiography

About the Externship

This isn’t just shadowing — it’s a real-world, immersive experience. You’ll work closely with our doctors on:

  • Routine and complex cases
  • Surgical procedures (scrub in opportunities!)
  • Treatment plans and client communication
  • Case discussions and collaborative learning

With 84+ combined years of veterinary experience among our doctors, we’re here to teach, guide, and support you every step of the way.
