Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Graduate Environmental Engineer. The Candidate will join the Environment Team that provides services on large-scale environmental and civil engineering projects. Our teams work on complex environmental projects, pulling the right resources from across the company to support project needs. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that will challenge you technically while giving you the opportunity to work with senior individuals with a variety of experiences. The successful candidate will develop a wide range of skills, with significant training and career possibilities, and could expect to be involved in the following activities:

  • Supervision of field activities (surveys and tests, investigations, remediation works, etc.);
  • Monitoring and sampling of the environmental matrices (soil, groundwater, soil gas, etc.) adopting national and international recognized standards (US-EPA, ASTM, etc.);
  • Collection of environmental data;
  • GIS data management;
  • Processing and interpretation of data collected on site;
  • Preparation of environmental technical reports;
  • Apply and encourage a high level of Health and Safety awareness and Quality management;

Qualifications

We are particularly looking for candidates with the following:

  • 0-2 years’ experience in a consulting company;
  • Fluency in Italian and English;
  • Demonstrable interest in environmental projects;
  • Motivation, initiative, and organizational skills to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary environment;
  • Flexibility to promptly respond to the changing demands of projects and programs;
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and digital ability to produce and understand written reports without consistent revisions;
  • Ability to maintain good records of site-based activities;
  • Strong attention to details;
  • Reasonable flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits;
  • Strong personal initiative and goal oriented;
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel;
  • Licensed to drive a vehicle in ITA (essential)
