Hours Monday-Thursday 6 am to 230 pm; Friday 6 am to 12 pm.


 

POSITION SUMMARY
The Brake Press Operator will primarily be involved with the setup and operation of a CNC brake press for metal fabrication.

Essential Functions Statements


  • Knowledge and hands-on operation and set up of CNC brake press for metal fabrication.

  • Set up and operate machines as required to manufacture parts specific Graepel parts.

  • Analyze work orders, parts, and blueprints.

  • Check parts throughout the production run, using company supplied measuring equipment to monitor quality and repeatability of processes.

  • Knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication process and concepts.

  • Setup metal fabrication machinery and other production necessities to produce "0 defect" parts.

  • Accurately complete work orders with correct quantities of good and defective parts.

  • Work a regular schedule determined by supervisory management.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:     

  • High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience required.

 


Experience:    


  • Ability to use Direct read measuring devices required.

  • Ability to read blue prints and understand functionality of parts and their components.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication management and/or operations of low and mid-sized volume metal fabrication preferred.

  • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.
