Job Description
The House of Commonsâ Finance Services is currently looking to staff the Senior Financial Member Services Consultant position.
This recruitment and selection process is restricted to employees working for Finance Services at the House of Commons Administration. Â
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Membersâ Financial Advisory, the Senior Financial Member Services Consultant contributes to the development and implementation of strategies, service delivery approaches, and supporting finance programs for the Membersâ Finance Service.
Operating within a client-centered service model, this position plays a key role in building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality, tailored financial services. The incumbent engages clients proactively to identify opportunities, respond to evolving needs, and enhance overall service delivery.
As a Senior Financial Member Services Consultant, you will provide expert, professional, and authoritative advice to Members and House Officers, using sound judgment, adaptability, and innovative thinking to navigate complex and dynamic environments.

Qualifications
Education :
- University degree, preferably in business administration, finance, accounting or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
Experiences :
- Demonstrated experience delivering financial services across multiple financial domains, including providing strategic financial advice and recommendations to clients and senior management;
- Demonstrated experience in building and sustaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders and senior officials in providing timely, professional, and client-focused support;
- Demonstrated experience contributing to or leading service improvement, process optimization, and change management initiatives;
- In-depth experience delivering expert business advice on financial policies and the effective use of budgets, with consideration for Membersâ complex requirements;
- Experience identifying recurring client issues and contributing to their resolution through a solutions-oriented approach, leveraging client feedback, data analysis, and continuous improvement practices;
- Experience developing high-quality submissions, presentations, proposals, and /or briefings for senior management and executive stakeholders.
Asset :
- A professional financial designation (CPA, CFA) or a Mastersâ Business Administration (MBA).
