Job Description

KPMG Australia's Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) team includes a substantive eDiscovery practice.  We provide tailored eDiscovery solutions to help organisations manage and respond to legal and regulatory data requests, helping them distil voluminous digital data sources into actionable intelligence.  Leveraging advanced industry-standard eDiscovery tooling and expertise, we ensure compliance, defensibility, and accuracy while supporting clients with their large data challenges by:

  • Demonstrating expertise in utilising industry-leading eDiscovery tools, including Nuix and RelativityOne, to manage, process, and analyse large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships to understand their eDiscovery requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities by leveraging existing industry knowledge and networks.
  • Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to provide innovative solutions.
  • Working closely with project teams to ensure seamless transition from sales to service delivery.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.

Your Opportunity 

As an Associate Director within KPMG’s DFIR team, you will: 

  • Collaborate with a national team of eDiscovery and legal technology experts to deliver tailored solutions that address complex legal and regulatory data challenges.
  • Drive client engagement by identifying opportunities to provide advanced eDiscovery tools and services, including data identification, collection, processing, review, and production.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with legal teams, regulators, and stakeholders to understand their unique needs and deliver compliant, defensible, and innovative solutions.
  • Support clients in optimising their eDiscovery processes by leveraging industry best practice, emerging technologies, and data-driven insights.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on eDiscovery strategies, regulatory compliance, and risk management to enhance client outcomes.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements to position KPMG’s eDiscovery offerings as market-leading solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals, presentations, and strategies to drive business growth and client satisfaction – with the opportunity for rapid career progression for high-performing and motivated individuals.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a range of skills, experience and qualifications including: 

  • Experience in eDiscovery, legal technology, or data management within a professional consulting environment, corporate legal team, or law firm. Proven expertise in delivering eDiscovery solutions across the EDRM lifecycle, including data identification, collection, processing, review, and production.
  • Strong technical knowledge of eDiscovery tools, platforms, and methodologies, such as RelativityOne, Nuix, or similar technologies, with a focus on defensible workflows and compliance with industry best-practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and optimising eDiscovery processes to address complex legal and regulatory challenges, leveraging advanced analytics and automation tools.
  • Proven ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, delivering timely and effective solutions to meet client needs and deadlines.

Qualifications

Relevant certifications such as RCA (Relativity Certified Administrator) or Nuix Certified eDiscovery Master are highly desirable.
