Job Description

Your contribution to something big:

As part of the Purchasing Quality Assurance team and of a global network, you will be responsible for closely monitoring our supplier base's quality performance and will have a key role in defending the quality interests of the Bosch Home Comfort production site at Aveiro. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Act as a Claim Manager, initiating and driving end-to-end problem-solving activities with suppliers in response to quality incidents with purchased parts.
  • Provide operational support for containment actions, analyze part failures using structured problem-solving methods, and manage the cost reimbursement process with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including plant quality, production, and R&D, during problem-solving activities.
  • Serve as the key interface and quality manager between suppliers and internal Value Stream.
  • Support the factory's quality risk management and concession processes.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Purchasing Quality Strategy and the continuous improvement and digitalization of quality processes.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you: 

  • Education: You have a university degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical) or a similar relevant technical field.
  • Experience: You possess 1-2 years of professional experience in a quality-related function, with excellent communication skills suited for a global environment.
  • Know-how: You are familiar with structured problem-solving tools, MS Office, and SAP. Knowledge of metrology and experience with CAD reading is a plus.
  • Languages: You have strong written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
  • Working Style and Methods: You are proactive, open to learning, and take the initiative to find creative solutions. You have a structured approach that allows you to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Personality: You are an assertive communicator, able to influence and challenge suppliers effectively. You are solution-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and can adeptly manage complex negotiations and escalations.
