Position Summary

 We are seeking a highly strategic and entrepreneurial Corporate Development Manager to identify, originate, and evaluate new growth and acquisition opportunities. This role will require close collaboration with the executive team, private equity partners, and both internal and external stakeholders to proactively source deal flow, build relationships with potential targets, and develop compelling investment theses. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in business development, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and market analysis, as well as a proven ability to drive new opportunities from initial outreach through to deal execution.

 

The Corporate Development Manager will be responsible for driving the full deal origination cycle, including proactive outreach, opportunity evaluation, and supporting deal execution. This role will report directly to the CEO and will serve as a critical point person for finance, operations, human resources and task management within the process.



Responsibilities


  • Proactively source and originate new acquisition and growth opportunities by building and maintaining a pipeline of targets, leveraging industry networks, attending conferences, and conducting outbound outreach to potential partners and acquisition candidates.
  • Conduct market research and competitive landscape analysis to identify attractive sectors, whitespace opportunities, and potential targets; develop and maintain proprietary deal flow databases and tracking tools.
  • Partner with the executive team and private equity partner to develop investment theses.
  • Manage deal processes from first contact through letter of intent, coordinating external and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for the board and executive leadership as it relates to investment opportunities.

 

Qualifications & Specifications


  • 3-5 years’ experience (preference for experience in business development, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or transaction-related roles with a focus on deal origination and sourcing).
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, especially in unstructured environments, with a proven ability to navigate challenges and turn them into opportunities for growth.
  • Project management expertise, including strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience in preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership, ensuring clear communication of strategic opportunities, risks, and recommendations.



Work Environment and Schedule


  • Remote with requirement to attend in-office meetings as applicable.
  • Some requirements to occasionally work before and after normal business hours/business work week, based on the demands of work and client availability.
  • Occasional travel to company sites / meetings as needed.
