Job Description

Are you enthusiastic about the intersection of artificial intelligence and precision engineering? Then take this opportunity, as part of your Master's thesis, to develop a methodology for the tolerance analysis of worm gears. Here, you will actively shape the future of product development and contribute to the optimization of complex systems.

  • During your thesis you will develop a parametric simulation model.
  • Modeling uncertainties will be one of your core tasks to ensure the robustness of the analyses.
  • You will automate the entire simulation workflow.
  • Furthermore, you will independently conduct a global sensitivity analysis (UQ).
  • Finally, you will build and train an AI-based surrogate model.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master studies in the field of Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or comparable with good grades
  • Experience and Knowledge: in MATLAB, Python or C++, FEM (Abaqus or Ansys)
  • Personality and Working Practice: you excel at operating with a high degree of autonomy, effectively managing your own priorities and seeing tasks through to completion
  • Work Routine: your on-site presence is required
  • Languages: very good in English

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months

Requirement for this thesis is the enrollment at university. Please attach your CV, transcript of records, examination regulations and if indicated a valid work and residence permit.
