Job Description

The Department of Radiation Oncology at Lake Forest invites applications for a full-time radiation oncologist to join our multidisciplinary cancer care team. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a nationally recognized department that integrates cutting-edge, compassionate and innovative clinical care.ย 

Position Summary:

The selected candidate will provide excellent radiation oncology care, including diagnosis, patient consultations, treatment planning, and follow-up management. In addition the candidate will:

  • Provide comprehensive radiation oncology services for patients with various cancer diagnoses.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, physicists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives and strategic planning.ย 
  • Ensure patient safety and quality care throughout the treatment process.
  • Maintain excellence in patient satisfaction, clinical efficiency and interdepartmental collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary range: $450,000-$600,000, reflecting experience, qualifications, internal comparators, and external market benchmarks
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, retirement, and professional development resources.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Radiation Oncology residency.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Radiation Oncology.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
