We are currently looking for a motivated Technical buyer to join our Purchasing Department in Faenza. The role is responsible for managing all composite commodities, from supplier scouting and negotiations to order placement and BOM management, in collaboration with the Planning Department.

Job Description

Composite Purchasing

Leads key outsourcing projects for CFRP parts, in close cooperation with the Lead Buyer, and manages additive manufacturing  items with different levels of complexity.

Monitors supplier performance and holds yearly reviews to define improvement plans and future business opportunities.

Contributes to commodity strategy definition together with the Lead Buyer.

Responsible for scouting new supplier to improve efficiency and technologies.

Execute end-to-end purchasing activities for the assigned commodity based on project and production needs.

Issue purchase orders ensuring adherence to delivery schedules, quality requirements and cost targets.

Conduct RFQs, analyse offers, negotiate prices and commercial terms, and manage order fulfilment.

Monitor supplier performance (QCD) for the assigned scope and implement corrective actions within remit, escalating major issues to the Lead Buyer.

Perform supplier scouting and support supplier audits in line with the department strategy.

Maintain accurate reporting and KPIs for the assigned commodity and provide regular updates to the Lead Buyer.

Work closely with production planning and others depts. to define criticalities and priorities

In line with pay transparency regulations (Legislative Decree 96/2026), the minimum fixed salary for this role is the contractual minimum set by the National Collective Labour Agreement for the Metalworking Industry (Federmeccanica/Assistal) for classification level C3. We specify that the above mentioned level is a minimum threshold and does not correspond to the overall compensation package, which is determined by objective, measurable and gender-neutral criteria, being significantly higher than the contractual minimum indicated.

Qualifications

Degree level in Engineering or Economics is preferred.

Previous composite purchasing experience in Motorsport/Aerospace/Automotive (or comparable high-level  industries) with focus on CFRP items.

Good commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.

Knowledge of composite components.

Proficiency in English and MS Office (Excel in particular).

Resilience, attention to detail, teamwork and problem-solving attitude.
