Corporal Job Duties
- Assist Administration in any needs
- Assist and train supervisors on how to run a shift and complete their daily duties
- Help supervisors when needed
- Talk with Supervisors about issues and give guidance
- Help on the floor when needed
- Make sure every shift is being firm, fair and consistent the same way
- Kiosk & Grievance Request
- Making sure pod inspections “Lead Detention Officers”, hair/nail clippers “Jail Administrative Assistant”, laundry “Lead Detention Officers” and fire extinguisher logs “Maintenance Director” are getting done
- Make sure the daily task is getting done on every shift
- E-mails (Having officers follow through with admin instructions sent via email and responding to them accordingly)
- Checking the property room and disposing of property that has been left in facility for 30 days after an inmate has left
- Walk through the pods daily
- Help with new officers and training if needed
- Assist with UOF when needed
- Complete UOF supervisor reviews
- Shift Meetings – make sure they are happening and the proper way
- Make sure the proper paperwork is getting where it needs to go
- Shakedowns
- Review Reports, make sure all the video and paperwork is added
- Review bookings via workflow for errors
- Making sure corrective actions are done when needed
- Professionalism with all shifts/admin, outside agencies and general public
