Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support IQA and QC equipment operation to ensure smooth daily production and inspection activities.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and 1st-level recovery for IQA/QC equipment and testers.
  • Support setup, installation, buyoff, and verification activities for new IQA and QC equipment.
  • Able to operate and support inspection and quality control equipment.
  • Maintain equipment log sheets, calibration records, preventive maintenance schedules, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Operations teams to support inspection and quality activities.
  • Monitor equipment condition and escalate abnormal issues for timely corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with 6S practices, ESD requirements, safety procedures, and lab/shopfloor housekeeping standards.
  • Support equipment uptime improvement and minimize downtime through proper maintenance coordination.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a related field or manufacturing environment.
  • Full-time position.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Batu Kawan, Pulau Pinang.

Preferred:

  • Basic programming or automation knowledge.
  • Experience in manufacturing quality systems or inspection equipment support.

Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with IQA and QC equipment support.
  • Knowledge in equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and calibration coordination.
  • Familiar with manufacturing quality control processes and inspection methodologies.
  • Fast learner with good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
