Job Description

General Characteristics (Job Summary)

  • Responsible for planning and controlling quality activities in given particular disciplines in accordance with quality management system established by QC Manager.
  • Planning, controlling and performing inspections and tests on discipline responsible and managing inspectors in the disciplines for which they are responsible.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitoring work performance according to a result of risk management.
  • Managing work performance on particular discipline as per applicable work process.
  • Managing actual result of Quality Performance Indicator.
  • Coordinating and monitoring with other discipline required to provide corrective action.
  • Liaising and solving with clients on Quality related matters such as Quality Issue and NCR, Observation.
  • Managing work activity through system management tool (FMCS, SCMS).
  • Identifying and mitigate quality risks.
  • Conducting audits and inspections.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Should have a university degree and a total of seven (7) years of experience in inspection, or a high school diploma with a total of ten (10) years of experience in inspection.
  • As minimum, the candidate shall have three (3) years directly relating to supervision of construction activities in the Contract Scope of WORK (e.g. oil, gas and petrochemical projects, Infrastructure, communication).
  • Aramco Experience is preferrable.

Knowledge

  • Quality Control Inspection.

Job Specific Specialty

  • Be currently certified by API (API 653 and API 510).
  • Have direct work experience and thorough knowledge of static and rotating mechanical equipment, commodities, materials construction, Pre-Commissioning and quality activities required for the WORK.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Work-related engineering codes and standards, such as ASTM, API, IEC, NEMA, UL, FM, NFPA, ASME BPVC (Sections I, V, VIII and IX); ANSI/ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8 and B73; NACE SPs, API 620, API 650 and AWS D1.1.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of mechanical process systems inspection and testing; procedures, tools and test equipment used in receiving, storage, fabrication, erection, construction and Pre-Commissioning of steam and combustion turbines, diesel engines, pumps, compressors, motors and generators, mixers and agitators, fans, gearboxes, firewater pumps and motors, auxiliary cooling and lubrication systems, packaged process equipment, pipe, pipe fittings, valves, pressure vessels, fired heaters, tanks, structural steel, hot/cold insulation and other equipment and commodities as required for the work.
