Job Description

 

  • Undertaking top-down Cost Planning
  • Working with Single Line Diagrams and technical information to produce First Principles Estimating
  • Technical knowledge of Substation and transmission infrastructure & technology
  • Lead the estimation process for construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate estimates.
  • Prepare capital cost estimates to meet industry standard estimate classification guidelines, in particular AACE.
  • Use of in-house data to perform benchmarking analysis.
  • Analyse and interpret project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Review and analyse bids, proposals, and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
  • Analysis of construction project change and the provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
  • Implement estimating processes, proceedures and tools where required.
  • Working collaboratively and seamlessly with all other key project and programme functions such as; cost, risk and planning teams.
  • Analyse and assess costs and estimates provided by suppliers and contractors
  • Provide process and technical estimating support and production of feasibility studies
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to junior estimators and team members
