E&NR UK / South overview

Our UK E&NR business is structured into two geographical regions (the North and the South which are divided horizontally roughly around Nottingham) and a third, UK-wide, dedicated Performance Analytics Team driving our approach to digital & data. In the E&NR South Region we currently have around 155 professionals across cost and commercial management, project controls, and project management – and a very strong revenue growth targets for the year. As such, we are actively recruiting for fantastic opportunities across a wide range of clients and sectors including across all aspects of nuclear delivery, renewables, battery storage, transmission & distribution, Carbon Capture Storage and Sustainable Aviation Fuels. We also work closely with our Infrastructure and Defence colleagues with opportunity to work across a wide variety of projects.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend are currently recruiting for Senior Professionals within our Natural Resources team to support our expanding New Energy & Natural Resources segment.

We are seeking out candidates to work on iconic commissions for a range of our key clients, all offering exciting career development opportunities.

A successful candidate will have demonstrable experience and ability to do the majority of the following:

• take responsibility for their own performance and the quality of service delivered, demonstrating analytical and problem‑solving skills
• plan and execute effectively and consistently identify new ways to add value, understanding when to act independently and when to seek support
• set clear expectations for team performance based on a deep understanding of client needs, monitoring team cohesion and ensuring everyone has a voice
• confidently address and resolve conflict, communicating with influence and inspiring others to deliver great work
• treat others with care and respect to build strong, trusting relationships within the team and across the wider business, challenging behaviors where necessary
• coach colleagues to reach their full potential, proactively shaping their own career development and helping others do the same

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC level qualification
• NEC3/4 or FIDIC experience
• Cost / commercial management experience on Energy (nuclear, renewables, transmission & distribution, oil & gas, low carbon) or Infrastructure (water / utilities / rail / roads/ aviation) projects
• Experience of working on major programmes or project portfolios
• Professional Chartership (preferable)
