The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Whangarei/Kamo crew on a permanent basis. Working on a variety of vehicle brands, this role involves proactive and reactive maintenance, COF inspections, and day-to-day repairs across our fleet. Experience with electric vehicles will be a bonus as we transition toward a more sustainable future.

About You
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of buses to ensure they operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Working both independently and as part of a team, you will carry out scheduled maintenance, fault finding, and repairs while maintaining high workmanship standards. A strong understanding of Waka Kotahi compliance requirements, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and is keen to develop their skills within the passenger transport industry.
Your Skills
• NZQA L4 Heavy Automotive Qualification/ equivalent automotive workshop experience
• Current New Zealand Drivers’ License Class 1 (ideally up to Class 4)
• Eye for detail
• Health and safety conscious
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25kgs
