Procedure Coordinator/Scheduler- Gastroenterology

Position Summary: 

Candidates’ role will consist of processing many different incoming orders for gastroenterology procedures. Candidate will be making outbound calls, and taking inbound calls, Candidate will be scheduling patients accordingly as you will be the point of contact between ordering physicians, patients, and hospital/outpatient facilities. 

Please note: This position is spent on phones for the majority of the day. 

 Essential Job Functions: 

Making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls, asking all patient information to include medical questions for pre-procedure screening needs. Scheduling patients for procedures and processing orders in multiple systems while also educating patients on any prep that is needed for procedures You will also be responsible for daily tasks in your assigned task boxes making sure they are done in a timely manner. Being a team player.

 Qualifications:

High School Graduate -Excellent computer skills, have the abilities to train across multiple software platforms. Candidate must be able to multi-task, using multiple programs at the same time and working with double computer monitors. Must be able to demonstrate professional writing and verbal skills, be a motivated self-starter and be able to work quickly and efficiently in a very fast-paced department. Strong interpersonal skills as well as communication, organization and prioritization skills are a must. Candidate must be able to pay strong attention to details.

Bilingual is a plus!

 Monday- Friday 9:30am-5:30pm / 40 hours a week
