Product Engineer
About this role
Nitex transforms a $1.5 trillion industry, the fashion supply chain. We build the connected backend of fashion: the technology, systems, design engine, production network, and intelligence layer that help brands move faster and factories run smarter.
This role is for someone who loves to build stuff. We are looking for a high-potential technical builder who will own the product end to end from conception to rollout and adoption.
A Product Engineer has the mindset of a business owner, a product manager, and an engineer combined. Not in the sense that they do everything alone forever, but in the sense that they take full responsibility for turning a real problem into a working product.
THE ROLE
You will turn real business problems into product clarity.
- Identify business pain points by speaking with relevant teams, customers, and stakeholders.
- Translate unclear problems into clear product requirements, user flows, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
- Use Claude Code/Codex to build, prototype, or lead the development of full-stack products, tools, integrations, dashboards, automations, or internal systems.
- Work closely with users throughout development to test ideas, gather feedback, and improve the product.
- Own product release, rollout, training, and adoption to ensure the solution is actually used.
- Monitor product performance, fix issues, improve usability, and continue iterating after launch.
- Measure impact through usage, time saved, error reduction, process improvement, adoption rate, and business outcomes.
Success in this role is learning fast enough that within 1โ3 months, the team trusts you to own product problems end-to-end.
WHO YOU ARE
You are early-career, technical, hungry, coachable, and fast-learning.
You may have 0โ2 years of experience. You may be a fresh graduate. You may have built side projects, coded through university, worked on a startup idea, done internships, or simply shown a pattern of learning hard things faster than the people around you.
An engineering/software background is preferred. You do not need prior product-management experience. We value first-principles product thinking more than process-heavy product management habits.
You are strong if you can show evidence of:
- Clear technical thinking, even if you are not applying as a pure engineer.
- Ability to code in at least one modern programming language or build working software using modern development tools.
- Comfort with web apps, APIs, databases, automations, dashboards, or internal tools.
- Ability to use Git, read unfamiliar code, debug issues, and understand how software systems work.
- Strong use of AI tools to make yourself faster, sharper, and more productive - without blindly trusting the output.
- Clear writing: problem statements, product notes, user flows, acceptance criteria, launch notes, or technical documentation.
- High learning speed. You absorb a new domain quickly and ask sharper questions each week.
- Ownership. If something is unclear, you chase the answer rather than wait.
- Curiosity about users, business workflows, product quality, and measurable impact.
- Comfort with ambiguity. You can make progress before every answer is available.
- Hunger without ego. You want to grow fast, and you can accept feedback fast.
WHO YOU ARE NOT
This role is wrong for you if you are looking for a slow assistant-PM job where someone hands you clean tasks.
You will struggle here if you need perfect instructions, avoid pressure, dislike writing, wait to be chased, or hide confusion. You will also struggle if you think product management is meetings, roadmaps, and presentations. At Nitex, product work is closer to the machine. You find the problem, write it clearly, push the build, test the result, and improve it. We are not hiring a mini-MBA. We are hiring a technical builder who can become a dangerous product thinker.
THE WORK
Location: Dhaka preferred; cross-functional work with Dhaka, Barcelona, and London.
Reporting line: Group Product Manager / Founders
Experience: 1โ2 years. Fresh graduates with strong technical thinking are welcome.
