【Background of the Recruitment】

The Power Product group at Renesas is a core part of the company’s vision to deliver safe, smart, and sustainable solutions for automotive, industrial, infrastructure, and IoT markets. Renesas aims to triple its power business by 2030, leveraging a broad portfolio of power management ICs, discrete devices, and wide-bandgap technologies (GaN, SiC) to address megatrends such as electrification, energy efficiency, and AI-driven systems

Our group Automotive System Power within the Power group focuses on Intelligent Power Devices (IPDs) and High-Side Switches (HSS), which are critical for next-generation automotive ECUs, centralized architectures, and EV/Hybrid platforms. These products enable safe power distribution, diagnostics, and protection, reducing complexity and improving reliability in modern vehicles

【Principal Accountabilities】

• Operate as a Silicon validation engineer. 
• Ability to understand device functions and work proactively to close any gaps in understanding.
• Work in cross functional team to develop new products in Automotive and Industrial markets.
• Summarize data and analyse performance to requirements.
• Design needed hardware and see it through fabrication and checkout.
• Give regular updates on status to team and communicate any issues

【Knowledge, Skills and Experience】

• Validation Planning: Setup a validation plan based on the product specification and track validation progress. Align with System/Design/Test teams to streamline overall efforts.
• Test Bench Development: Design, setup and maintain mechanical & electrical test benches for different products. Develop automated IC characterization programs.
• Validation Testing: Execute electrical validation and characterization of mixed-signal-ICs and building blocks according to the validation plan. Summarize validation results and generate a product validation report. Support root cause analysis in case of functional or parametric specification compliance issues.
• Correlation with ATE: Carry out correlation measurements between automated production test equipment (ATE) and laboratory equipment.
• Documentation: Document test bench setups and characterization steps.

Qualifications

【MUST】

• 3+ years Post silicon Validation experience
• Equipment handling (Knows how to operate all equipments like PowerSupply, Oscilloscope etc.)
• Silicon Validation planning, Validating, Data analysis, report making
• Ability to communicate in English (conversation level)

【WANT】

• Python scripting experience
• Power electronics knowledge
