Job Description

SGS are seeking a causal Fire Assayer to join the team in Perth.

Duties include, however are not limited to:

  • Responsible for weighing, fluxing, firing, knocking up and cupellation of samples in correct numerical order.
  • These tasks to be carried out following established QC procedures and avoiding contamination.
  • Responsible for managing the recycling and disposal operations for pots, slag and cupels and other waste.
  • To make sure all relevant paperwork and electronic records are filled out correctly.
  • To perform other tasks as needed, including weighing samples and sample prep.
  • Must use appropriate personal protective equipment in the correct manner and work to minimise creation of lead dust.

Qualifications

To be successful you will have a:

  • First aid certificate
  • Previous laboratory experience

  • Forklift licence (desirable)
