Job Description

Job Title:  Electrical Test Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Location:  Buxton
Hours:      37.5 Hours a week 9am - 5pm 
Salary:      Competitive + Bonus

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will carry out electrical safety testing across a wide range of products, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
Working both in the laboratory and on-site, you’ll deliver accurate, high-quality test results and certification documentation.
You will play a key role in supporting accreditation, maintaining equipment, and ensuring projects are delivered to client expectations.

Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct electrical product testing in the laboratory and at client sites, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and procedures
• Produce accurate test reports and certification documentation in line with accreditation and quality requirements 
• Manage workload effectively to meet project timelines, budgets, and departmental targets 
• Support the calibration and maintenance of test equipment to ensure compliance with quality systems 
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping, and adherence to company policies and procedures 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need proven experience as an Electrical Test Engineer or have experience in a similar role within a relevant industry, with recent experience in the use of test and measuring equipment (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscope).

Essential

• Bachelor or Master Degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent
• Alternative HNC/HND in electrical engineering with relevant work experience

Desirable

• Full Driving Licence for use in the UK
• Familiarity with EU/UK safety directives
