About this role

SUMMARY

The Downtown Campus Advisory Committee (DCAC) enhances the Downtown Campus experience at Ontario Tech University. Collaborating with the VP Downtown, the committee addresses student concerns and opportunities related to events, services, advocacy, campus engagement. Join us to provide insights, network with OTSU members, and contribute to campus improvement.


The committee member term will run for the full 2026 - 2027 academic year. 


ELIGIBILITY 

To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must be:


  • full-time students (enrolled in 3 or more courses)
  • or a full time student with 1-2 courses registered with Student Accessibility Services in good academic standing (with a cumulative GPA above 2.0)
  • be a part of the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities or the Faculty of Education
  • be a student from one of Ontario Tech’s academic programs delivered at the Downtown Campus, at either the undergraduate or graduate level, whether pursued as a major or minor; thus properly representing the entirety of the Downtown Campus


Preference will be granted to students currently majoring in these fields; nevertheless, those who designate them as minors, when applicable, will also be taken into account.


TIME COMMITMENT 

  • Minimum 5 hours per month, which includes engaging in discussions, scheduled and ad-hoc meetings
