Software Architect

Our engineering team based in Istanbul is the backbone of our innovative capabilities. Leveraging new technologies, our team designs and develops products and solutions with complex distributed systems that create value to mobile network operators across the globe. We are constantly looking at ways to roll out new features, solutions, enrich usability and optimize our product cycles.

As a Software Architect on this team, you will bring your A-game to play every day and take advantage of unique opportunities to play a crucial role in the software development process. We have a brief exercise for you to help us ascertain your aptitude and skill level.

What you will do:

• Manage the entire software development life cycle from concept design to implementation and maintenance for a complete software system.
• Make high-level design choices, define technical standards, and ensure the software system is scalable, maintainable, and secure.
• Develop, test, deploy, and optimize new products/features using C# and .NET Core to ensure well-designed, robust, scalable, testable functionalities.
• Constantly improve product reliability and operational maturity of the products.
• Design and enhance application interactions with relational and columnar databases.
• Guide team members with diverse skills to improve software development through code reviews and development methodologies.
• Coordinate with product management, data platform developers, analysts, third-party contacts, and QA teams on new releases, features, patches, and fixes.
• Design, standardize, and implement new tools, technologies, and processes to improve existing products and solutions.
• Work with complex frameworks and software systems to guide refactoring, rewriting, and critical decisions.
• Coordinate and organize team discussions, prepare agendas, and decide on proper design solutions.

   What you need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or Telecommunications (relevant experience can be considered).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and development of complex distributed software products.
• Expert level skills in .NET Framework, .NET Core, and C# development.
• Thorough understanding of database transactions and concurrent programming.
• Expert level skills with ORM frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in relational database performance management.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse databases.
• Experience with CI/CD operations.
• High-level understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to mentor developers and technical product contacts on domain, design, and implementation issues.
• Awareness of the latest trends, tools, and principles to guide team members in applying them.
• End-to-end understanding and proper documentation skills for systems/frameworks developed.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
• Ability to reside and work in Turkey.
• Telecom domain knowledge, especially in configuration and performance management.
