Job Summary

BOP (Balance of Plant) Modeller position seeks an experienced professional to lead design and modeling activities for industrial plant projects, embodying Veolia's commitment to resourcing the world. This role combines technical expertise with our values of responsibility, innovation,

The role requires expertise in 2D/3D design software (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, Aveva E3D) for creating comprehensive plant layouts, piping systems, and equipment arrangements. Key responsibilities include developing detailed engineering models, performing technical analyses, ensuring compliance with ASME standards, and leading modeling teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management skills, ability to conduct peer reviews, and expertise in vendor management. Must possess a holistic understanding of project execution, balancing customer specifications, schedules, and budgets while maintaining quality standards. This position offers opportunities to interface with clients, participate in design reviews, and provide technical solutions for complex engineering challenges. Experience Required (Min – Max year): Maximum 3-7 years’ Experience of mechanical design in Water, Power, O&G or related Industry.

 

Essential Responsibilities

Must-Have Requirements

  1. Able to draft  "As-Built" drawings using AutoCAD software 

  2. Able to prepare Civil/Equipment/Piping/(non-process  and process lines)/Cable tray/Pipe supports  in 3D Model based on Engineering documents like PID/Equipment & Instruments Cutsheets /Valves & Piping List etc., using 3D Modeling Softwares like Plant 3D, Revit ,E3D, Open Plant etc.

  3. Able to Prepare Structural & Pipe Stress Analysis package including weight datasheet

  4. Proficient in developing material requisitions , Review supplier technical offers and prepare techno commercial bid evaluation tabs.

Good To Have Requirements (That Supports future Career progression in the Role)

  1. Able to draft Equipment/Foundation Layout using AutoCAD software 

  2. Able to prepare Civil/Equipment/Piping(non-process and process lines) in 3D Model based on Basic Engineering documents using 3D Modeling Softwares like Plant 3D, PDMS, E3D, Open Plant,Revit etc.

  3. Able to Perform Pipe support span length calculation and review 3D Model. Performing stress analysis with simple load cases & combinations, Pipe Support Selection 

  4. Proficient in conducting  3D model reviews from concept to completion 

  5. Knowledge on ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code /B 31.1 Power Piping Code

  6. Aware of interdisciplinary activities and support for various other disciplines during the project

Qualifications

Diploma/Engineering Degree – Mechanical / Experience in Mechanical Engineering
