Point Clinical Services PLLC provides the licensed clinicians that deliver clinical services at the Cohen Clinics. If selected for this position, relocation assistance will be provided to South Korea as applicable. 

 

What you’ll do  

 

We are seeking to add a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to our team. Under the direction of the Clinic Director, you are responsible for providing evidence-based mental health treatment to military family members, veterans and their family members and eligible military contractors. You should have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and be skilled at offering targeted, measurement-based therapy using evidence-based treatments You must have a strong background and training in utilizing evidence-based interventions in the assessment and treatment of mood disorders, Post Traumatic Stress, and adjustment disorders. You will play a key role in delivering our evidence-based, targeted treatment model of care, which was built with several core elements in mind, including access to high quality care, low wait times, treating the entire military family and serving veterans regardless of role or discharge status. You will provide individual, couples, family and group therapy You will conduct differential diagnosis and use psychometric testing tools to support clinical judgment, diagnosis, and treatment planning Experience working with children and families is highly desired for this position Documentation of all clinical services/treatment in the electronic health record is required following every encounter. Specifically, you will:  

 

  • Provide evidence-based treatment and assessment for military family members, veterans and their families, and military contractors. 
  • Perform and document patient’s initial screenings, biopsychosocial assessments, and progress and referral information. Conduct clinical intake assessments on veterans and family members as needed. Provide individual, couples, family, group, and child psychotherapy to patients, with a focus on delivering evidence-based treatments. 
  • Provide measurement-based care to inform clinical decision-making and treatment planning. 
  • Assess and provide mental health diagnosis based on presenting symptoms and history. 
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, behavioral observations, and standardized psychometric instruments. 
  • Assess risk related to safety concerns and implement appropriate interventions and safety planning when needed. 
  • Develop targeted treatment plan for your client caseload as well as provide guidance to multidisciplinary team.  
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the caregiver, physician, director, and all other disciplines to provide the best care to patients as needed. 
  • Participate in weekly clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings. 
  • Provide services via telehealth platform, as required. 
  • Perform other duties as required. 

 

What’s required
 

  • A Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or (Psy.D) degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited psychology program. Must have completed an APA accredited internship/residency in professional psychology. Note: Degree and licensure must meet requirements to be eligible to bill Tricare and other insurance as a psychologist. 
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SOFA status for overseas assignment. 
  • A minimum of two years’ experience. Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is required. 
  • Knowledge in DSM-V diagnosis is required; Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment is required. 
  • Certification or documented proficiency in one or more of the following EBP’s: PE, CBT and CPT is required 
  • Certification or documented proficiency in CBT is required for all clinicians at Cohen Clinics. In addition, certification, or documented proficiency in one more of the following EBP’s: PE, CPT, WET, Gottman, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is required within the first year of employment. Note: Training opportunities will be available via Cohen Veterans Network. 
  • Experience using an electronic health record system; experience using Cerner is a plus. 
  • Have and maintain a current license to practice psychology. 
  • Some travel may be required.
