Job Description

Accountabilities:

  • Quality Champion: Act as the local point person for Seeds Development, ensuring continuous product and process quality improvement aligned with the Seed R&D Quality Management System.
  • SOP Development: Review, standardize, and maintain SOPs for NSPP and Trialing to strengthen trial and seed quality, with documentation available in Reliance.
  • Quality Culture Implementation: Lead efforts to embed a strong quality culture, support teams in handling non‑conformities, and guide root cause analysis (RCA) development.
  • Data & Knowledge Management: Maintain R&D data assets, repositories, technical knowledge, and intellectual property to enhance data quality for business decision‑making.
  • Compliance & Stewardship: Monitor and enforce adherence to Syngenta’s internal rules, GM stewardship practices, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Audit, Reporting & Training: Support local audits, facilitate KPI reporting, sustain improvements through documentation, and deliver quality‑related training activities.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across PPP, Trialing, NSPP, and GD teams, and contribute to the Quality Champion network to share learnings and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: BA/BS degree or technical diploma, preferably in agronomy or seed science.
  • Industry Experience: Prior exposure to quality management and seed production processes is strongly valued.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with diverse disciplines including research, finance, regulatory, marketing, and sales.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP functions.
  • Analytical & Problem‑Solving Skills: Strong data analysis capability to support sound recommendations and timely decision making.
  • Good command in speaking and writting in English.
  • Professional Attributes: Demonstrates accountability, confidentiality, responsiveness, teamwork, and the ability to establish clear measures of success.
