About the role:

As Digital Communications Manager, you will own Odyssea's voice across digital channels — creating content that connects, building an audience that cares, and making sure our story reaches the right people. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key strategic partner in shaping how Odyssea is perceived externally, and you will continuously adapt the communications strategy as the organization's needs evolve. You will manage a small creative team and drive both the execution and the direction of our communications.

What You'll Do

Content & Social Media

• Lead the creation of engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn — from strategy to execution
• Manage and mentor a Social Media Specialist and a Graphic Designer / Video Animator
• Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all channels
• Monitor performance metrics and continuously optimize content strategy

PR & Media Relations

• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers
• Write, proofread, and distribute press releases and media advisories (in Greek and English)
• Monitor media coverage and respond to press queries
• Identify partnership and media sponsorship opportunities

Stakeholder Communications

• Develop donor communication plans and materials
• Coordinate with program teams to surface compelling stories and impact data
• Represent Odyssea at events and partnership meetings as needed

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of experience in communications, digital marketing, or a related role
• Proven track record of growing social media audiences and creating high-performing content
• Strong written and verbal communication in both Greek and English
• Experience managing or mentoring a team
• Comfortable with analytics tools and social media management platforms
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
• NGO or mission-driven organization experience is a plus

Added Value

• Experience with influencer marketing or media partnerships
• Video production or editing skills
• Sales or fundraising communication experience
• Strong public speaking skills
