Job Description

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Customization Cell is looking for a 3D Art Manager to ensure clear communication and facilitate smooth collaboration with our outsourcing partners, in coordination with the production manager.

Oversee the creation of art assets, from initial concept art to final delivery, providing feedback to external outsourcing partners throughout the process and ensuring they follow the overall artistic direction and quality standards.

Collaborate with the art directors and production teams to establish coherent visual styles for each new season.

Responsibilities:

Outsourcing Management:

  • Convey high expectations to outsourcing partners regarding quality standards and production requirements for characters, weapons, props, and other assets, using reference materials such as concept art, production designs, and existing in-game assets.
  • Supervise and approve work completed by outsourcing partners.
  • Provide clear and actionable feedback to vendors to ensure assets meet artistic expectations and production standards.
  • Ensure that the elements produced comply with the approved concepts and references, vision for the game, the technical constraints, as well as meeting standards for quality.

Art Direction alignment:

  • Support the implementation of seasonal artistic styles defined by the Art Directors, ensuring alignment with the overall artistic direction of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege.
  • Support the translation of concept art and production designs into high-quality in-game 3D assets.
  • Ensure that outsourced 3D assets remain visually consistent with the game's established artistic direction and quality expectations.

Quality & Technical Validation:

  • Ensure that outsourced assets comply with technical requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of quality benchmarks and production standards for 3D asset creation.
  • Collaborate with Technical Artists and outsourcing partners to promptly address technical issues.

Qualifications

Training:

  • College diploma in their field of expertise for video games. Certification in project management or equivalent (an asset).

Relevant Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience on his/her working unit or other relevant experience.
  • Participation in at least one complete game production or equivalent.
  • Collaborate with external partners or outsourcing vendors on creative deliverables.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to manage and communicate effectively with external outsourcing partners
  • Excellent artistic and technical skills (concept art, illustration, high-resolution sculpting/modeling, user interface design)
