Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of all backend systems supporting HGA backend transformation initiatives, focusing on digitalization, AI integration, and automation.
  • Develop and optimize image processing and machine vision algorithms using platforms such as VIDI, VPRO, COGNEX or equivalent tools to improve inspection accuracy, defect detection, and production efficiency.
  • Integrate AI/ML solutions into manufacturing processes, including model development, training, validation, and continuous performance improvement.
  • Design and maintain scalable backend architectures to support real-time data processing, system interoperability, and high-throughput manufacturing environments.
  • Debug and troubleshoot hardware-software interfaces, including cameras, sensors, PLCs, and industrial communication protocols, ensuring stable and reliable system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process engineering, equipment engineering, IT, and operations) to implement end-to-end automation solutions.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for system architecture, algorithms, and integration processes.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ Years experience in Software development or related field
  • Knowledge on software development languages (Python/R coding, Java, C++, C#), database management (SQL, NoSQL), data analytics tools, Spotfire and data visualization platforms

PREFERRED:

  • Eager on learning and self-development
  • Experience in electronics or HDD industry
  • Experienced in high-volume manufacturing
